Is that a knit stitch or a purl? When did I last do a decrease row? How many rows of ribbing have I done? We’ve all asked these questions at some point. And we’ve all been frustrated at trying to figure it out!
In this workshop, we’re going to learn a little about the basics of knitted fabric and how the structure is formed from simple loops of yarn. We’ll look at the differences between knit and purl stitches and how to recognize them in our work. We’ll figure out how to find those elusive increases and decreases so we can figure out where we are in the pattern. And we’ll do all of this so we can learn to avoid mistakes and fix the inevitable ones that escape our notice!
