The PEI Fibre Festival strives to promote and establish a safe, respectful, and positive atmosphere for shared knowledge, for respect of ideas, cultures, and values and fellowship in a common space for learning.
We hope the following information is helpful and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.
About Us
The PEI Fibre Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to all things fibre. We are a volunteer board of directors and we are assisted by two paid part time coordinators.
We have many goals:
- We want to highlight our own fibre products and skilled instructing artisans.
- We also want to offer the opportunity to showcase products from other regions to our participants.
- We want our participants to benefit from the instruction provided by all kinds of instructors, local, regional, national and international.
- All this while showcasing our beautiful Island.
Our Island may be small but it is mighty! We want to offer as many workshops as possible from beginner to advanced and as many products as possible. The PEI Fibre Festival takes place in the only space large enough to accommodate all this in the fall season. The host venue is beautiful, located on the waterfront and can serve all our needs. Yes, it comes at a cost but we think you will be happy with your experience! We want to be a big deal for years to come!

October weather can be beautiful with mild temperatures during the day and cooler evenings. Daily high temperatures are from 18°C/64°F to 14°C/57°F, rarely falling below 11°C/51°F or exceeding 20°C/68°F. Daily low temperatures are from 10°C/50°F to 8°C/46°F, rarely falling below 6°C/42°F or exceeding 14°C/57°F. The spectacular fall foliage is at its peak around the middle of the month; with luck, you’ll be able to catch some of the colours before they disappear.
