My name is Toos Omtzigt and Tulipheart Studio is my creative home. As a Dutch transplant to the north, I’ve lived in rural Alaska and Yukon for over 30 years. I am interested in the history and traditions of growing and using wool and plant fibres, something people have done for thousands of years. I have raised sheep, processed raw wool, and grown flax – and then used the fibres in a variety of fibre arts, like spinning, crocheting and felting.
