Western PEI MacAusland’s Experience
Duration: 6 hours | Capacity: 31
Spend the day visiting one of Prince Edward Island’s most iconic textile producers. MacAusland’s Woollen Mill is a world-renowned, family-run mill known for producing traditional wool blankets and yarns using time-honoured methods that have been preserved for generations.
Guests will enjoy a guided visit through the mill, along with a short video presentation explaining how raw fleece is transformed into finished blankets and yarns. The experience offers a rare opportunity to learn about traditional fibre production and see the historic equipment that has been used at the mill for decades.
A boxed lunch will be provided for guests to enjoy during the drive, allowing for a relaxed arrival before the guided experience.
On the return trip, the group will stop at Holman’s Ice Cream Parlour, a well-loved Island favourite known for its small-batch handmade ice cream and nostalgic charm.
Please note that MacAusland’s Woollen Mill includes stairs and does not have elevator access. Guests should be comfortable navigating stairs in order to fully participate in the tour.
