Spend a beautiful autumn day exploring Eastern Prince Edward Island’s fibre community, coastal scenery, and local flavours. This guided small-group experience offers a relaxed pace and meaningful visits with Island makers whose work reflects PEI’s strong tradition of textile artistry.

Guests will enjoy a warm welcome from Shirley at Pastime Rug Hooking & Wool Shop, a charming fibre studio known for its colourful wool, traditional rug hooking materials, and creative inspiration. This intimate visit offers the opportunity to learn about Shirley’s work and browse a thoughtfully curated selection of fibre supplies.

The tour continues to Point Prim Lighthouse, one of Prince Edward Island’s most iconic landmarks. Set along the Northumberland Strait, this historic lighthouse offers sweeping coastal views and a wonderful photo opportunity in a peaceful seaside setting.

A midday stop will be made at Country Taste Kitchen & Bakery, a beloved countryside bakery known for homemade soups, fresh sandwiches, baked goods, coffee, and tea. Surrounded by farmland, this relaxed stop offers guests time to enjoy lunch and experience a favourite local gathering place.

The afternoon visit brings guests to Fleece & Harmony, where locally produced yarn reflects the natural colours and textures of Prince Edward Island. Guests will learn about the process of creating yarn from fibre to finished product while browsing this unique Island fibre destination.
