Central PEI Fibre Trail & Coastal Village Experience

A relaxed day featuring a charming seaside village, local fibre makers, and Anne of Green Gables.

The day begins in Victoria-by-the-Sea, a small and very walkable historic village known for its strong community of artisans and craftspeople. Guests will have time to explore a wonderful collection of local shops including Ewe & Dye, Island Chocolates, The Basket Case, along with pottery, glassblowing, and other small studios. Guests may also enjoy time to walk to the lighthouse and working wharf, all within easy walking distance throughout the village.

Reserved seating will be arranged at the Lobster Barn for those wishing to enjoy a casual seafood lunch. Guests are also welcome to choose from other small cafés and eateries in the village if they prefer something lighter or simply wish to continue exploring. Lunch is on own.

The tour continues with a visit to Knit Pickers to meet Margaret. Her welcoming yarn shop offers a thoughtfully curated selection of natural fibres and knitting supplies, creating a meaningful connection between fibre traditions and Island storytelling.

The afternoon concludes with admission to Green Gables Heritage Place with a private guide, where guests will enjoy an introduction to the setting that inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery’s beloved novel. Guests will have time to visit the Green Gables house and explore the grounds before returning to Charlottetown.

This experience offers a lovely balance of fibre, heritage, coastal scenery, and time to explore at a comfortable pace.
