Discover Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island
Charlottetown might be a small city, but it’s bursting with big energy and infectious island vibes. It’s got all the charm and hospitality PEI is famous for, plus culinary experiences and an arts and culture scene that take visitors by surprise—in the best way possible.
What is going on while attending the PEI Fibre Festival?
The Festival weekend is one of the busiest weekends of the year in Charlottetown.
Beside the PEI Fibre Festival in the Convention Centre is PEI Beer Fest. This is a local beer show that happens every year, it is a great way to try many local breweries. PEI Beer Fest starts at 6pm on Friday and is contained in its own area. If you plan to attend PEI Beer Fest, a separate ticket will need to be purchased through their website: https://beerfestpei.com/
There will also be the first Street Feast only 10 minutes away. This will be a colourful two-day block party featuring unique creations and quirkiness from some of the city’s favourite local hang outs. Kent Street comes alive with the sights and sounds (and smells) of the street party of our collective dreams. For more information see: https://www.discovercharlottetown.com/events/street-feast/
September is also home to the PEI Fall Flavours Festival. Canada’s Food Island has an extraordinary celebration of the deeply-rooted traditions, top-notch ingredients, and exceptional culinary talent that make PEI a must-visit culinary destination. It’s going to be a spectacular month-long shindig that’ll knock your (mussel) socks off! The best from our land and sea. Celebrity chefs and top local talents. Quinntessential PEI entertainment. One-of-kind venues. And the warmest hospitality you’ve ever experienced. See: https://fallflavours.ca/
