Mosaic Knitting – Bristol Ivy

Mosaic knitting is a beautiful way to add colourwork to your knitting without having to carry multiple strands of yarn at a time. It’s like magic! In this class, we’ll cover the basic colour theory that makes mosaic knitting sing, the fundamental building blocks of mosaic knitting, and how you might design your own!

Skill Level:

Experience needed: knitting, purling


With smooth, non-haloed worsted weight yarn and US 8 [5 mm] circular needle, please cast on 24 stitches and work about an inch [2.5 cm] in stockinette stitch, worked flat and ending after a WS row. Do not bind off. Make sure to leave at least another 70 yards [64 m] of yarn attached.

Attendees to Bring:

30 yards [27 m] of different-coloured yarn in the same weight, writing implement for taking notes.
