Lavender and Lace – Margaret McEachern

If you’ve always been intrigued, mystified and maybe a little nervous about lace knitting, this is for you. Spend a little time learning and practising simple lace techniques – how to achieve left-leaning or right-leaning stitches, how to read a lace chart. Discover why we use lavender in our “Ewe Love” line and how you and your woollens will benefit from lavender. You’ll take home an original Knit Pickers pattern for fingerless lace mittens suitable for knitting in Briggs & Little Heritage wool, Sweet Paprika Dorset-based down wool or Fleece & Harmony Signature Aran wool.

Skill Level:

Basic knitting skills (how to make knit and purl stitches and how to cast on) are required.

Attendees to Bring:

Please bring a set of DP needles (4 mm – 5.5 mm) or two circular knitting needles of the same size (4 mm – 5.5 mm).

Materials supplied are included in the workshop fee.
