The Cocagne Country Colours project aims to sustainably cultivate, harvest and transform natural dyes and natural textile materials in the Cocagne watershed, to save age old knowledge, share it with residents and other professionals and value the knowledge holders (through intergenerational exchanges), while raising awareness, through workshops, mentorships and demonstrations, about the importance of local natural textile and dye plants, their protection for the future and their uses in fine crafts, arts and other fields as an alternative to synthetic products.
Cocagne Country Colours offers naturally dyed yarns and wool cloth as well as knitting kits with original patterns by local designers, naturally dyed clothing as well as our own locally sourced and grown dye stuffs.
